David A. Resser

Associate

David Resser is an associate at Pearne & Gordon LLP. He has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, and trademark applications. He has also rendered infringement opinions.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Dave was a mechanical engineer at Equipment Merchants International (EMI). At EMI, he designed components, sub-assemblies, and machine layouts for automated foundry equipment including molding machines, core machines, and low pressure aluminum casting machines.

Dave was also a senior consultant engineer for Factory Mutual/FM Global, a world leader in HPR commercial property insurance. While there, Dave conducted engineering evaluations for water supply availability; automatic sprinkler system adequacy; explosion relief capabilities of equipment and processes; elementary roof load structural analysis (e.g. snow, ponding, dead and live loads, etc.); and fire pump testing, analysis, and evaluation.

Dave is currently a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the American Foundry Society (AFS).
